The unanimous Declaration of the fifty United States of America WHEN in the Course of human Events, it becomes necessary for one People to dissolve the Political Bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the Powers of the Earth, the separate and equal Stations to which the laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent Respect to the Opinions of Humankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the Separation. WE hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men and Women are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Reveling. That to secure these Rights, Governments are instituted among Men and Women, deriving their just Powers from the Consent of the Governed. That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive to these Ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its Foundation on such Principles and organizing its Powers in such Form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient Causes; and accordingly all Experience hath shown that Humankind are more disposed to suffer, while Evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the Forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long Train of Abuses and Usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a Design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their Right, it is their Duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future Security. Such has been the patient Sufferance of the People; and such is now the Necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government. The history of the present Corporate Monarch of America, George II, is a history of repeated Injuries and Usurpations, all having in direct Object the Establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid World. HE has encouraged the dismissal of Citizens' votes, subverted the Popular will of the People and exploited the judiciary to illegitimately assume the Office of the Presidency. HE has endangered the Lives of Millions by blocking necessary Resources from doctors and nurses around the World in the service of his domestic Political Strategy. HE has plundered our Earthly Resources and exhausted much of our Natural Wealth for the short-term gains of his Campaign Financiers. HE has allowed those Corporate Contributors to rewrite the nation's energy policy behind a veil of Privileged Secrecy to serve their own Interests with willful disregard for the Welfare of our Children. HE has abandoned measures adopted by Global Consensus to prevent environmental Ruination of our Planet as a means of paying back his Corporate Patrons. HE has allowed corrupt Enterprises to rewrite the Laws intended to regulate them, and to select the Regulators who would oversee them. HE has destroyed more American jobs than any President since the Great Depression and paid Corporations to move more jobs overseas. HE has indebted all our Grandchildren for Decades in order to enrich the Wealthy Elite of today, and forced higher Local Taxes to pay for his Federal Tax Give-aways to the rich. HE has promoted laws that place new Demands on our Cities but lend no new Aid towards fulfilling them. HE has sought an Education Policy to Leave No Child Behind by bringing None of them forward - restricting Resources, stifling Innovation and rigging the System to make struggling Schools fail. HE has renounced the Treaties which have safeguarded our Nation from the Nuclear Threat, and has thus encouraged other Nations to do the same, further imperiling our Nation and the World. HE has squelched Free Speech by endorsing the Consolidation of the Media in the hands of a Privileged Few, and denying access and inquiries to those who question or challenge his Authority. HE has ignored repeated Warnings to our National Security while taking the longest vacation in Presidential History, failing to take any Action to prevent a Domestic Tragedy of unprecedented proportions. HE has refused to examine the Causes of this Tragedy - resisting the formation of Investigative Committees, restricting their Funding, obstructing their Inquiries and withholding Documents - shielding many, but above all himself, from proper Accountability. HE has lied about the hazards to our First Responders at Ground Zero, exploited the Suffering and Fears of the American People, and sought to use a National Tragedy for his own Political Advantage. HE has endangered our Homeland Security by rhetorically exploiting, but financially forsaking our First Responders, and ignoring the Security of our Ports, our Industry, and our National Infrastructure. HE has promoted a Culture of Fear across the land to excuse his willful disregard of our Constitution and the deliberate Erosion of our Liberty: BY turning our Doctors and Teachers into Immigration Officers, our Meter Readers into Domestic Spies, and compiling dossiers on law-abiding Americans for secret purposes. BY withholding Public Records and classifying Documents for the purpose of shielding Administration Officials from civil and criminal liability. BY illegally threatening Civil Servants with termination if they perform their Lawful Duty to inform Congress. BY issuing Deceptive Reports and Statements intended to hide failures, evade responsibility and defraud both Congress and the American People. BY attempting to alter our Constitution in order to restrict the Rights of American Citizens, and diverting scarce taxpayer Money to selected religious Institutions, in an effort to subvert the Constitutional separation of Church and State and use State Power to impose his own narrow religious Doctrine upon the American People. BY suppressing the Truth by engaging in degrading Libel Campaigns against whistle-blowers, marginalizing dissenters, and denying the Freedom of Assembly to those who wish to protest his Policies. BY assuming extraordinary Powers to install at the Highest Levels of our Judiciary radical DeConstitutionalists who support an unchecked Presidential Right to arbitrarily arrest and torture American Citizens. BY assuming as the Right of his Office the Authority to search without Warrant, arrest without Cause, hold without Charges, prosecute without Law, and torture without Conscience. AND BY deceiving the American People by declaring that all of these Alien Abuses of our Constitution are necessary and beneficial to the Security of our Nation. HE has endangered our Nation and its Defenders by launching them into an Unlawful War under False Pretenses, and sending our Troops into battle without adequate forces, resources, planning or International Support. HE has made False Statements to the American People in a Solemn Address in order to justify a War he sought for his own reasons, and ignored the wise counsel of the Armed Forces and the Intelligence Community. HE has violated International Law and established a dangerous precedent of “Preventive War” which invites any Tyrant to invade any Neighbor he declares to be a possible Threat. HE has played into the hands of our Worst Enemies by joining their Holy War and promoting a clash of Civilizations which will only increase our Enemies Strength and Numbers. HE has used this invasion to enrich his Corporate Patrons, granting them lucrative no-bid Contracts which encourage Waste and Corruption, and entrusting the Security of our Nation and the Safety of our Troops to those who place their own Bottom Line above our National Interest. HE has abandoned our Troops, both in the Field and on the Homefront, by extending combat duty while attempting to cut combat pay, reducing Veterans' Benefits as uncounted Wounded return Home, and ignoring the Funerals and Flag-Draped Coffins of our Fallen Soldiers. HE has squandered the most Abundant Surplus ever bequeathed to an American President, and the greatest outpouring of Domestic and International Goodwill ever experienced by our Nation, reducing us, within a single term, into a Debtor Nation and a Moral Pariah. IN every stage of these Oppressions we have petitioned for Redress in the most humble Terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated Injury. A Prince, whose Character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the Ruler of a free People. WE, therefore, the People of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, declare that our Patriotism is independent of this Corporate Monarch, that our Interests are Independent of the Corporate Interest, that our Loyalty is owed to our Constitution and our Fellow Citizens, not to an appointed Prince. Therefore, we will speak Truth to Power. We will protect our Constitution and the Liberties it guarantees. We will unite Friends and Family for the Progress of our Nation. As Patriots, we vow to Honor our Forefathers' charge to preserve and protect our Democracy and in doing so we pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor.
