The Name

The Green Dragon Tavern is where the Sons of Liberty (Paul Revere, Sam Adams, etc.) plotted flavoring Boston Harbor with Earl Grey tea.

Who are we?

Greene Dragon is a media and street theater campaign mixing humor and historical context to highlight the unpatriotic policies in government and its corporate special interests.

By assuming the colonial spirit and updating its uniforms, our patriotic revelers are reminding Americans of our forefathers’ charge to ensure a free and democratic government for all. George Washington warned us to “Guard against the impostures of pretended patriotism,” and we are engaging in our civil duty to expose the Right's  assault on the Constitution and its guaranteed liberties.

Our intent is to expose  corporate control over the White House, and its abuses against the American people. We want to take democracy away from the Halliburtons and Enrons and bring it back to our town halls, schools, and neighborhoods. This marks a return to the original ideal of our forefathers, a hopeful vision for a responsible and compassionate government of the people, by the people, and for the people.

Why reveling?

Reveling occurs when you throw off your limitations and fears and start engaging the world with joy and celebration. Our Revel-ution intends to cut through the current fear culture and bring forth a state of freedom, opportunity, and abundance to the nation. By fighting for good jobs, civil liberties, a healthy environment, and a sustainable economy, Greene Dragon’s mission is to bring a good time back to America, ensuring everyone the inalienable rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of reveling.
